In 2009, Sébastien and his wife Mathilde wanted to start a family. Knowing that this could be a complicated process for Mathilde, they decided to go see reproductive specialists together and therefore take a whole series of tests as required by protocol. In 2009, Sébastien and his wife Mathilde wanted to start a family.
Knowing that this could be a complicated process for Mathilde, they decided to go see reproductive specialists together and therefore take a whole series of tests as required by protocol.

Indeed, it did not take long for the doctors to discover an anomaly in Sébastien's right testicle, "an anomaly that I had put on the account of a small shock felt in a roller-coaster some time ago. »
From there, everything went very quickly- ultrasound a few days later and the diagnosis fell for Sébastien – testicular cancer.
"Then comes a surrealist phone call with a surgeon to talk about ablation, then an appointment the next day with the anaesthesiologist and finally the operation the following week.
All this felt like a big punch in the face. »
"After the operation, which went very well, I didn't really see the next step coming either when I was told that a chemotherapy protocol was going to be put in place. And that's when I think I fully realized that it was going to be a long and difficult fight. »
 
It has now been more than 5 years since Sébastien's chemotherapy was completed.
"I am now in complete remission but I will never forget this part of my life. I think it made me stronger than ever. I am no superhero, but I have always spoken openly and without taboos with my family and friends who were there all throughout to support me. »

His message to men: "Check your nuts, fight against the disease and talk about it! I assure you, you don't have to be a cowboy to be a man."
